About Invision Eyewear

Since 1971 Invision Eyewear, a family owned and operated business, has been providing the greater Kansas City area with exquisite eyewear. With top styles combined with the best service from our expert staff. We have an in-house lab which allows us to offer on-site repairs to your glasses. We can also achieve a quick turnaround on your glasses, a one-hour turnaround on single vision prescriptions to 3-5 days on most bifocals and progressives.

After immigrating to the U.S. in the late 1960s, Nicola (Nick) Awad founded Olathe Optical (now Invision Eyewear) in 1971. Nick was the recipient of the ‘Kindest Kansas Citizen Award’ in 2009. Nick dedicated his career and his life to taking care of and helping others – his devotion for exceptional customer care is deeply ingrained in our values.

We have grown and expanded over the years, Nick’s son Elias Awad, now operates Invision Eyewear with the same customer-focused principles as his father. We believe we are the best at what we do and we are constantly in search of ways to innovate and improve to meet the needs of our customers. This commitment to exceptional hospitality and customer care is reflected in the fact that our customers continue to return – and so do their families – generation after generation. For nearly 50 years, Invision Eyewear has helped the greater Kansas City area look and see their very best.

In-House Lab

Our in-house lab technician cuts, grinds, and polish lenses for prescription glasses. Then assemble and mounts the lenses into the eyeglass frames. We also have on-site repairs to your glasses. For your convenience, our lab features a variety of lenses stocked in-house as well as numerous lenses ordered from specialty labs.
